Abstract研究了单掺Er~(3+)及Er~(3+)/Yb~(3+)共掺SiO_2-Al_2O_3-La_2O_3玻璃的光谱性质随稀土离子浓度变化规律,应用McCumber理论计算了玻璃在1.53 mum的发射截面及积分吸收截面。结果表明:在Er~(3+)离子掺杂浓度相同时,玻璃在980 nm吸收截面与Yb~(3+)掺杂浓度成反比;当样品中Yb~(3+)离子掺杂深度为3.94 * 10~(20) cm~(-3)时,玻璃在1.53 mum的吸收截面和发射截面最大,在1.40 ~ 1.60 mummu积分吸收截面也最大;

Other AbstractThe spectroscopic properties of Er~(3+) single doped and Er~(3+)/Yb~(3+) co-doped SiO_2-Al_2O_3-La_2O_3 glasses have been studied. The effect of Er~(3+), Yb~(3+) ion concentrations on the spectroscopic properties were researched. The stimulated emission cross section of Er~(3+) was calculated by McCumber theory. It is found that the absorption cross section at 980 nm decreases with the increase of the Yb~(3+) ion concentration at fixed Er~(3+) ion concentration of 3.93 * 10~(19) cm~(-3). In this Er~(3+) ion concentration, the absorption cross section and stimulated emission cross section at 1530 nm reaches the largest values of 0.58 * 10~(20) cm~2 and 0.64 * 10~(-20) cm~2 and 0.64 * 10~(-20) cm~2 at the Yb~(3+) ion concentrations of 3.94 * 10~(-20) cm~(-3). It is noticed that FWHM of 1530 nm peak becomes wider with the increase of Er~(3+) ion concentration in the Er~(3+)/Yb~(3+) co-doped SiO_2-Al_2O_3-La_2O_3 glass, the widest FWHM is 52.5nm at Er~(3+) ion concentration of 2.41 * 10~(20) cm~(-3).
