Abstract | 研究了掺铒铋酸盐玻璃的吸收和荧光光谱性质,应用Judd-Ofelt理论计算了玻璃的三个强度参量Omega_t=(t=2,4,6),分别为Omega_2=3.71*10~(-20)cm~2,Omega_4=1.86*10~(-20)cm~2,Omega_6=1.28*10~(-20)cm~2,计算了Er~(3+)离子的自发跃迁几率、荧光分支比等光谱参量。经荧光谱测试发现掺Er~(3+)饿酸盐玻璃的荧光半高宽可达70nm。应用McCumber理论计算1.53mum处的受激发射截面可达9*10~(-21)cm~ |

Other Abstract | Absorption spectra, emission spectra Er~(3+)-doped bismuth-based glasses were studied. The ultraviolet cut-off wavelength of bisumth-based glass is larger than that of lther glasses, such as silicate glass, phosphate glass, and tellurite glass. The relatively higher refractive index of bismuth-based glass made it has larger stimulated emission cross section ((sigma_e=9.0*10~(-21) cm~2) and broader FWHM(~70nm), which are two very important parameters for optical fiber amplifier. Judd-Ofelt strength parameters Omega_t(t=2,4,6), and 3.71*10~(-20)cm~2, 1.86*10~(-20)cm~2, 1.28*10~(-20)cm~2, respectively. The Omega_6 is much larger in bismuth-based glass than that in other glasses, so Er-O hamuch less coverlency in this glass. Spontaneous radiative rate and branch ratios of each energy level of Er~(3+) ions were also given. The ratios of line strengths of eectric dipole transition to manetic dipole transition are much bigger in bismuth-based glass, which contribute to broad and flat emission. Stimulated emission cros section was also calculated by McCumber theory. The optical properties of Er~(3+) in bismuth-based glass are discussed by comparing with other host glasses. |
