AbstractExperimental results of low temperature absorption, laser selective excited fluorescence and time resolved spectra, as well as laser performances of thin slab Yb-doped phosphate glasses were reported. Local environment and low concentration quenching effect of high doping Yb3+ glasses were analyzed.
